Craig Melvin may spend his mornings delivering major stories to millions of television viewers, but away from the studio, his most important role is being a father. The Today host shares two children, son Delano and daughter Sybil, with his wife, sports broadcaster Lindsay Czarniak.

Delano has even tried his hand at interviewing athletes and appearing on television, while Sybil has developed interests in dance, gymnastics and music. One of the biggest came when the Melvin family attended the 2023 Super Bowl in Arizona. Craig went with Lindsay, Delano and Sybil, turning the sporting event into a family trip rather than simply another professional assignment.

Sybil Ann Melvin is the younger of Craig and Lindsay’s two children.

Her unusual first name has a sweet story behind it. During Lindsay’s pregnancy, the family began referring to the baby as “Sibby,” essentially a playful reference to Delano getting a sibling.

Craig and Lindsay eventually became attached to the sound of the nickname, which helped inspire the name Sybil.

While Delano has developed a strong connection with sports, Sybil has her own set of interests. Craig has described her as someone who enjoys gymnastics, dance, music and doing her hair.

She has also been described as confident, energetic and adventurous.
